About Us
A BRIEF HISTORY
Who we are . . .
We began in 1993 as the Stonewall Business & Professional Association. In 2005, we organized as the North Texas Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Chamber to address the expanding needs of our community. As the Chamber we continue the Stonewall tradition of providing networking opportunities and informational programming to our members. In addition, we work to improve the economic vitality of our region and support the positive attributes of a diverse workplace and community. The Chamber represents, promotes, and advocates for GLBT and allied businesses throughout North Texas with a goal of equal rights, equal access and equal representation for our community and all of North Texas.
What we do . . .
The Chamber focuses on three strategic areas: Member Services, Economic Growth & Business Advocacy, and Leadership Development. Within these three areas volunteers work to create benefits, programs and events to support the needs of our members and our community.
The Chamber creates professional environments where GLBT people and our allies can meet to promote their businesses, develop new skills and have their voices heard on important issues that affect how we do business and our quality of life.
We bring together a diverse community of business people who offer a wide array of products, services, skills and expertise. By highlighting our shared goals and values we unite to maximize our individual assets.
